A Marine Sergeant accused of sexual assault, strangulation and assault and charged at a General Court Martial. Our office was retained only weeks prior to the court martial and immediately flew to Okinawa to try the case. The day prior to trial, the case was continued due to significant procedural issues which were litigated before the military judge. After the trial was continued, a negotiated agreement was reached in which all charges were withdrawn and dismissed and the Marine was given Non-Judicial Punishment.
