BAH Fraud | Case Result

BAH Fraud.
Edwards Air Force Base
Air Force O-2
No Court Martial Charges Preferred.

An Air Force Lieutenant became the target of a BAH fraud investigation.  He was accused of continuing to obtain BAH allowances beyond the time period in which he was entitled to receive them.  Because this officer had received the allowances for several years after his authorization ended, it was investigated as a fraud case.

Civilian defense counsel Tim Bilecki was retained, and worked with DFAS to set up a reimbursement plan for the overpayment of BAH. Once full repayment was made, Mr. Bilecki utilized this information to stop the criminal investigation. Ultimately no charges were preferred and the officer I was able to move on with his life.
