A Marine Corps Lance Corporal was falsely accused of wrongful sexual contact by another male Marine in a barracks room incident. After being charged with wrongful sexual contact at a court martial, the LCpl retained an Article 120 UCMJ sexual assault attorney, Timothy Bilecki, who immediately began defending the case.
Bilecki learned that the accuser’s story was contradicted by other witnesses who were present, and the accuser used his complaint in order to obtain a more favorable duty assignment. This information was brought to the attention of the prosecutors, and once verified, no court martial charges were preferred.
