A Marine Staff Sergeant was charged with Charged violating Article 92, UCMJ (failure to obey lawful order).  The charges stemmed from allegedly violating the liberty policy to see his girlfriend while deployed in the Philippines.  After he returned, his wife found out and accused him of domestic violence prior to filing for divorce.  For this allegation, he was charged with a violation of Article 128, UCMJ (assault consummated by battery).  Attorney Tim Bilecki was able to negotiate a Separation in Lieu of Trial (SILT).
