Strategic Defense Saves Coast Guard NCO from Drug Charges, Discharged Honorably

Wrongful use of drugs
Honolulu, Hawaii
Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class – E-5
No charges preferred, honorable discharge.

A Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class stationed in Hawaii became under investigation for wrongful use of drugs. He was taken into custody by law enforcement after they suspected his use and possession of narcotics.

Once law enforcement got involved, the E-5 immediately retained Tim Bilecki, a noted Article 112a UCMJ military drug attorney in Hawaii.  Bilecki began representing the client right away and stopped the interrogation before it could start.

Bilecki also played hardball and refused to give consent to any searches and seizures of our client.  Our client was released from custody, and law enforcement continued its pursuit of criminal drug charges.  Notably, Bilecki was able to strategically slow down the investigative process and allow our client to ETS from the military, securing an Honorable Discharge from the Coast Guard before charges were ever preferred.
