A Navy Petty Officer Second Class was investigated by both the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for allegedly importing narcotics onto a military installation, possession of methamphetamine and distributing approximately 910 grams of meth.
Tim Bilecki was retained after the investigation began. With both NCIS and the DEA investigating allegations involving approximately 910 grams of methamphetamine, his work focused on reaching a resolution before criminal charges were preferred.
The investigation lasted nearly a year. Tim negotiated a pre-preferral agreement under which the command handled the matter at NJP and the Petty Officer would be administratively separated. The agreement kept the case out of a court-martial.
